Concept
Historic Renovation and Learning Space Upgrades | Chicago, Illinois
Wendell Phillips Academy received a thoughtful renovation that balances preservation with modernization. CSA Partners worked with the district to restore key features while adapting spaces for contemporary learning.
A historic main stair was carefully repaired and an existing classroom was transformed into a new computer lab that supports digital instruction. Each improvement respected the building’s original design while improving technology and accessibility.
The refreshed spaces preserve the character of the historic school and ensures the building will continue to serve students for decades to come.
