Context

To unite students and teachers from three separate schools, Chicago Public Schools enlisted CSA Partners to transform a vacant high school into a single, modern elementary school. The result is a learning community designed to support creativity, collaboration and growth.

Concept

Inside, 44 classrooms—including dedicated spaces for science, art and music—surround a new library and cafeteria. The renovation also included playground relocation, ADA compliance, full mechanical and electrical upgrades and comprehensive building envelope restoration.

Carver Elementary now offers students a vibrant, inclusive environment built for innovative instruction and future learning.
