Context
CSA Partners was hired to address the renovation requirements for Kenwood Academy High School, among four schools. Kenwood Academy is a thriving school that urgently needed Science Classrooms.
Concept
Science Laboratories Modernization | Chicago, Illinois
At Kenwood Academy, three science labs were ready for a full upgrade. Chicago Public Schools partnered with CSA Partners to replace outdated systems and create spaces that encourage teamwork and discovery.
The renovation introduced new mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems along with updated furniture, equipment and finishes. The reconfigured layouts allow students to collaborate more easily and teachers to adapt instruction to a variety of lab activities.
These state-of-the-art classrooms bring new energy to science learning and advance the district’s efforts to expand access to modern STEM education that prepare students for the future.
